Memories

Father Ted

Dunnygask Red Cedar
11.03.99 - 5.12.11

With great sadness we said our final farewells to Ted.   He had bravely battled with cancer and on 5th December 2011 he told us it was his time and we assisted him to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
He was such a gentleman and is sorely missed by all as Ted greeted everyone who came into our house and his tail just never stopped wagging.  He was "Grandpa" to all our Leonberger litters and would tolerate several puppies all clambering to get a space beside him in his basket or swing off those wonderful setter ears.
Now and again I catch a glimpse of him at the front door and then he is gone, or I hear the patter of his feet on the wooden floor and turn to find that he is not there.
Our hearts still ache at the loss we feel but we know that you are at peace and running with the deer again on the hillside.  You have left us with such wonderful memories that you will never be forgotten.

Martin

Simtara Snow Storm at Schiehallion
20.09.2010 - 03.02.2011

Our gorgeous boy Martin was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and after consultation with specialist vets we made the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep on Thursday 3rd February 2011.
Martin was co-owned with Verna and Simon from Simtara Leonbergers and we cannot express how much we have appreciated their support and friendship.
He will forever be in our thoughts. Run free across the Rainbow Bridge with all our beloved dogs that have gone before. You are now out of pain and will be Best in Show every day.
